 ·15 Oct 2023

Eskom has announced that load shedding will remain suspended for the rest of today, spelling good news for Rugby fans across the country.

Eskom said that load shedding will remain suspended until 16:00 on Monday.

Thereafter, stage 2 will be implemented from 16:00 until 05:00 on Tuesday.

Load shedding will then be suspended until 16:00 on Tuesday, when it will return to stage 2. Eskom said that this pattern will be repeated until further notice.

The embattled power utility said that this was possible due to breakdowns standing at 13,158MW and planned maintenance at 6,051MW of generation capacity.
